Thats srd for you, they dont supply the box coz theyr actualy for a bmw engine, try not to buy to much from that place, theres plenty of parts from other cars that will fit a swift with a little modification

Somewhere around 54lb, theres a few threads on teamswift about it

Hi Mate,

I did a search on Redline on your behalf as I'm familiar with how the search function works there... Wink

Here is DMW Dave's reply to the same question from an old thread:

"Arp studs use 55ftlbs if using the moly grease supplied with the stud kit. You can go up to 70ftlbs with no bad effect but figures above that will cause the hardend washers to sink into the head. If using brand new ARP studs make sure you retourqe them several times before dyno or hard use."

I hope that helps you!

Cheers,

Drew

Didnt even know they sold the main bearings studs, just looked on the site and they do, must be a new line
Anyway iv no doubt they will be from another engine, the only way to get to the bottom of it is messure the thread types and length of the studs and look on arp site or email them for the tourqe specs

bolt problems

Post  ben-jdm on 02/11/13, 03:14 pm

Any one know the ARP part codes for the head studs and main studs.

I know you can use the bmw m50 set for the cylinder head, but there are 2 different types.

On page 39 "head studs" at the top there is a set for the m50 part no: 201-4302

Also:

On page 50 "main studs" at the top there is another set for the m50 part no: 201-5000

All help much appreciated!!
